MTV Visual Ident
MTV gave me the great chance to be part of their new visual MTV idents master plan, creating a new bumper for them, with the aim of getting a new contemporary look calling for a “Back to the future” approach. They wanted to revisit a low-fi mindset and encourage experimentation, looking for contemporary youth aesthetics that surprised MTV’s audience, pieces that felt more like art than commercials, with a strong visual impact. Plus, obviously, it had to reflect the brand’s personality: Irreverent, Fun, Optimistic, Innovative and Passionate!
So.. I put that on a mixer and…that’s the result!
As the camera moves, the MTV logo is discovered through an anamorphic composition made of neon tubes. It’s surrounded by 3D scanners of plants and stones.
